The Spanish Riding School of Vienna is famous for its impressive public performances, as well as its tradition in classical equitation: it is the only institution in the world which has practiced this craft for over 440 years and continues to cultivate classical equitation in the Renaissance tradition. Its school for Lipizzan horses performs in the Winter Riding School in the Hofburg and also permits public viewing of some of its training sessions with the leading horses and riders of the school also touring and performing worldwide.
